Six Grizzly girls wrestlers placed in the top six of their respective weight classes at the Section G-2 Tournament last weekend at Rochester.
One of those six will be making a trip to the 2026 State Tournament.
Senior Kayle Langford, who was seeded second in the 136-pound weight class, won four straight matches to place first and advance to State.
Langford pinned Isabella Dahling of Rosemount in 67 seconds, pinned Keyawin Stier of GMLOS in 29 seconds, and pinned CJ Richard of Mound-Westonka in 87 seconds. In the championship, Langford defeated No. 1 seed, junior Bailey Kes of Scott West, 18-10.
Eighth grader Anaelyse Skidmore placed third in the 106-pound weight class. Junior Bre’Ana Masso placed third in the 118-pound weight class.
