Fred Lawrence Washa, age 86, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was born on January 26, 1935 to Fred H. Washa and Bessie C. (Rynda) Washa. Fred graduated from Montgomery High School. After high school, Fred served in the United States Air Force and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Beverly Theresa Rutt passed away at Mayo Hospital in Arizona on February 27, 22021.
She was born in New Prague, MN to Frank and Mary Rutt on April 5, 1939. Beverly graduated from Montgomery, MN High School in 1957, attended the School of Business in Minneapolis, MN and moved to Hawaii for three years. Beverly has resided in Scottsdale, AZ since 1968 working for the US Airforce and US Post Office in Arizona until retirement.
Jerome “Jerry” Malone, 84, of Montgomery and Surprise, AZ, died February 26, 2021, peacefully at his home. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
Jerome was born on February 3, 1937, in Wadena, MN to Robert and Elizabeth (Spahn) Malone. He graduated from Wadena high school and then went on to earn his bachelor degree at the University of Minnesota.
Jerome worked in sales management at The Maytag Co. in Newton, Iowa for 38 years, where he finished his career as Vice President of Sales.
Clarence J. Ginter, age 89, of New Prague, died suddenly on February 14, 2021, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. Clarence was born on January 30, 1932 in Lexington Township, Le Sueur County, MN to Joseph and Anna (Filipek) Ginter. He attended school in Montgomery and later married Donna M.
Larry Marvin Ceplecha, 59, of New Prague, died February 9, 2021, at his home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Father George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be at a later date this spring in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.
Larry was born on November 8, 1961, in Faribault to Marvin Edward and Barbara (Malecha) Ceplecha. He attended Montgomery High School and worked as a Processing Technician for Faribault Foods.
Eileen Florinda (Foss) Chapman, 78, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at the Mayo Hospital in Mankato.
Eileen was born on April 2, 1942, in Reine Township (Skime) of Roseau County, MN, to Olaf and Florinda (Skime) Foss. She was a 1960 high school graduate of International Falls High School.
Eileen met her sweetheart, Harvey Chapman, at a bowling alley in International Falls when she was 20 years old and they were united in marriage on March 14, 1964, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in International Falls.
Philip Richard Dohmen, age 61 of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. A private service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Arthur T. Daleiden, 89, of Faribault, died on Monday, January 18, 2021, at home.
Funeral services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 10 a.m. with Sr. Kathleen Hayes officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Montgomery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Arthur Thomas was born on September 2, 1931, in Montgomery to Thomas and Mary (Wondra) Daleiden. He was raised on a farm, graduated from Montgomery High School in 1949, and attended the College of St. Thomas.
Roberta J. Allen, 84, of Faribault, MN, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, at The Emeralds at Faribault.
Roberta Jean, the daughter of Robert and Ione (Mladek) Allen, was born on May 29, 1936 in Mankato, MN. Roberta was raised in Kasota, MN and attended Montgomery Senior High School.
Edward E. Holicky, Jr, 97, of Montgomery passed away on Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, at Traditions Assisted Living Facility in Montgomery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. with Father George Grafsky officiating.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Honor Guard.

Ivan R. Flicek, age 85, of Annandale, formerly of Faribault, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Private Requiem Mass will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault with Fr. Nino Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Ridge Cemetery in Faribault.
James C. Lorence, Sr., 89, of Montgomery, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Father Tom Niehaus officiating.
Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Honor Guard. Interment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Jim was born on January 6, 1931, in Montgomery. He served in the US Army in 1950 during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952.
James F. Cleasby (Jim), 72 passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
Jim resided in Columbia Heights, MN. with his wife of 52 years, Faye (LaCroix). Their two daughters, Heather Lucking and Mindy Murphy, (Joe) live in the vicinity.
Jim was raised in Lonsdale, the son of Edward, (Ed) and Adeline Cleasby, (Herda).
Jim graduated from Montgomery High School, class of '66. Lived and worked most of his life in the Minneapolis area.
Jim was preceded in death by his Father, Ed, brothers Paul and Mark, nephew Clinton, brother in-law Jim Kokoszynski.
Barbara D. Loebner, age 84, of Montgomery, formerly of New Prague, died peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Traditions of Montgomery. Barbara was born on April 27, 1936 in Minneapolis to Dale and Agnes (Shepherdson) Smith. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to attain both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in teaching from the University of Minnesota. She married the love of her life, George J. Loebner on May 12, 1956 in Minneapolis.
Timothy Donald "Don" Cashin of Albert Lea, Minnesota, died December 11, 2020 at home from complications of COVID in the care of Mayo Hospice, surrounded by family members.
