Joan Warner, age 87, of New Prague, died peacefully on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Milestone Senior Living in Faribault.  Joan was born on June 13, 1933 in Mankato to William and AnnaJane (Fuller) Ward.  She attended Mankato High School and married the love of her life, Merle J.

Gordon Harvey Kritzer, a Korean War Veteran, passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2021 at the age of 87. His family is so grateful that he was able to be home thanks to hospice and home care who assisted in caring for him.

Norman Frank Berndt, age 74, of Waseca died unexpectedly on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Rita Jean Stangler, age 84, of Kilkenny, died on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Milestone Senior Living in Faribault. Visitation will follow CDC health guidelines and be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:30 p.m.. Private interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny for the family only. A recording of the funeral will be available on the Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services website (dennisfuneralhomes.com) after the service.

Milton J. Johnson, 82, of Stanford, KY passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Born December 21, 1938 in Elysian, MN to the late John (Jack) and Renetta (Frodl) Johnson, he served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed a long career as an Engineer for Whirlpool Corporation in Danville, KY. He was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church in Lancaster, KY and served as a member of the Knights of Columbus in Danville, KY. Milton's greatest joy was making others smile and making sure everyone knew how proud he was of his family.

Rita Kay Grubish, age 65 of Waterville, passed away at her home on the morning of Saturday, January 16, 2021 following a difficult battle with cancer.

Mary Ann Lucille Dusbabek, age 96 of Waterville died on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Whispering Creek in Janesville.

Lowell Charles Quiram, age 84 of Waterville died on Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home.
Born on January 30, 1936 in Mankato, Minnesota, he was the son of Everett “Pete” and Eva (Francisco) Quiram. He graduated from the Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca and went on to serve in the US Army. Lowell married Janet Carlson and they raised four children before divorcing after 31 years of marriage. He worked as a truck driver for many years and also drove school bus. Lowell married Sharron Tlougan on February 14, 2013 in Le Center. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Travis Ryan Van Houdt, age 18 of Waterville, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Hennepin County Medical Center following an automobile accident.

Mary Elizabeth St. John, age 87 of Waterville died on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Traditions of Waterville.
Born on June 17, 1933 in Hudson, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Carson and Alice (Rupert) Chapman. Mary married Edward St. John on August 5, 1955 in Norwood, Iowa. She worked as a babysitter for many area families. Mary loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and extended family. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, baking, embroidering, coloring and word finds. Mary was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elysian.

Ruth Ann Kramer, age 86 of Waterville died on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.
Born on June 28, 1934, she was the daughter of Henry and Helen (Ferch) Watzek. She attended school in Waterville prior to her marriage to Arthur Sorgatz in 1952. Together they had two daughters before they divorced. Ruth was united in marriage to Delmar Kramer in March of 1969 and they later divorced.

Sister Charlotte Dusbabek, 90, a Franciscan Sister of the Congregation of Our Lady of Lourdes, Rochester, MN, died at Assisi Heights, December 16, 2020.    
Charlotte Rosemary Dusbabek was born July 9, 1930, in Waseca, Minnesota, to Henry and Esther (Knish) Dusbabek. She entered the Sisters of St. Francis in 1953 and made perpetual vows in 1959.  Professional studies included a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI, 1960, and a Master’s Degree in Nursing Service from Catholic University, Washington, DC, in 1962. 

Ann Marie (Morgan) Kniefel, age 89, of Waterville passed away peacefully, surrounded by family love, at Traditions Memory Care on Wednesday, December 16.
Born on August 25, 1931 to Art and Marie (Frodl) Morgan in Iosco Township. She attended Waterville High School, then continued her education at the College of St Catherine in St Paul, graduating as a registered nurse. She loved her work as a nurse at Faribault and Mankato Hospitals and with Dr. Buesgens in Waterville, as well as working at the Coast-to-Coast Store in Waterville that Ben and she owned for 25 years.

Audrey Marie Kopischke, age 82, of rural Mankato, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 5, 2020.

Mavis Irene Miller, age 69 of Waterville, died on Friday, November 20, 2020 at her residence in Waterville.

David Alvin Harmon, age 79, of Waterville died on Wednesday evening, November 18, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
