She’s had enough ranch dressing to last her a decade.
2011 Waterville-Elysian- Morristown High School graduate Tabitha Nusbaum, daughter of Carrie Schmidtke and Dan Nusbaum, was dropped into a big vat of cold ranch dressing as part of NBC’s television gameshow, Ellen’s Game of Games.
The episode featuring Nusbaum aired Sunday night, May 16.
On the show, Nusbaum played “You Bet Your Wife,” a game where one contestant wagers what their partner will know. If the partner does not know the answer in time, he or she is dropped into a big vat of ranch dressing.
Nusbaum (who is not married) wore a body harness and hung above the condiment pool while her partner, gameshow host Ellen DeGeneres, wagered if she would be able to name eight countries in Asia (which she did).
Her opponent was a woman named Vanessa who was partnered with DeGeneres’ cohost/sidekick, Twitch.
Vanessa earned three strikes against herself—and three dunks into the ranch dressing—while Nusbaum remained high and dry… Until the end of the game, when DeGeneres pushed her drop button.
“I don’t like ranch in general, but I will say that the general population would like it better from the store,” she laughed.
The win advanced Nusbaum to the Know-or-Go round of competition where she faced off in a random trivia game with three other contestants.
Nusbaum was one of the last two contestants standing, but....
