LaVerne S. Edelman, age 80, of Faribault, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Faribault Senior Living.
Memorial services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Welch.
A memorial visitation will be held in the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 3 to 6 p.m. and for one half hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Laverne S., the daughter of Lawrence and Evelyn (Ellingson) Carlson was born on July 22, 1943, in Mankato. She was formerly employed by Schaper Toys, ABC Bus, Poly Tex and Faribault Woolen Mills. LaVerne loved to travel, dance, Dr. Pepper and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by four children; Angie (and Mike) Moriarity of Claremont, Janet (and Jeff) Geyer of Waterville, Brenda (and Jeff) Johnsrud of Faribault and Hal Edelman of Faribault; 29 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marcia Ward of Duluth; son-in-law, Randy Smelser of Stacyville, IA; father of her children, Dahl Edelman; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Smelser and granddaughter, Kristen Geyer.
