JoAnn L. Meinke, age 90, of Northfield and formerly of Webster died on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Three Links Care Center, Northfield.
Private graveside services will be held for the family at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Webster.
Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Orville Otto Schultz, age 86, of Webster, MN, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023, in his lifelong home, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 5, 1937, in Faribault, MN, to Otto F. and Lydia A. (Haust) Schultz and baptized into Christ on June 28, 1937. He was confirmed on June 17, 1951. He attended school at St. John’s Parochial School and New Prague High School. He married Barbara Meinke on December 29, 1962, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster.

Connie Lou Pfeil, age 71, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of New Prague, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.  Her husband, John Stewart Pfeil, age 81, died just 2 months previously in Iowa on August 15, 2023. 
 Connie was born on February 11, 1952, in Sioux City, IA to Joe Pilcher and Frances Olson. John was born on May 12, 1942, in Burbank, CA to George & Ruth (McKay) Pfeil.  

Olga Elaine Heffern, age 90, of Heidelberg, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Ridgeview Hospital in Le Sueur. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating, all at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.

James “Jim” Matthew Skluzacek, age 84, of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, peacefully at home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 9, at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one and half hour prior at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Military Honors will be provided by the Montgomery Area Veterans Honor Guard.

Brian Lee Efta, 64, of Jordan, passed away surrounded by family on September 25, 2023 after dealing with years of failing health. 
Brian was born on December 21, 1958 in Shakopee, MN to Jerry and Joan Efta. He grew up in St. Patrick and attended New Prague Area Schools. 
Brian worked doing masonry and asphalt. He eventually obtained a CDL license and drove different types of trucks. 
Throughout his life, Brian enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers as well as spending time at the family cabin.

Joan Monica (Simon) Zuk, age 90, of Fridley, MN, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023 at home with family. Joan was born December 31, 1932. Joan grew up in New Prague, MN, went to nursing school at St. Mary's Hospital and graduated in 1953. She married Carl Zuk in 1958 (65 years!) She was a devout Catholic and a member of the Church of St. William in Fridley for 60 years. She was a woman of immense love, compassion and faith leaving behind a legacy that will be forever cherished by all of us who knew her.

Glen J. Schoenbauer, age 86, of New Prague, died peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at his home.  Glen was born on April 25, 1937, on the family farm in Helena Township to Joseph B. and Rose L. (Tuma) Schoenbauer.  He graduated from St. Wenceslaus Parochial School and New Prague High School and entered the US Army, where he served for 2 years.  Glen met Margaret M. Kes at a Halloween dance and the two were married on August 19, 1961 at St.

Charles E. "Chuck" Slavik, age 82, of Tucson, AZ, and formerly of New Prague, died peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023.  Chuck was born May 17, 1941, in Saint Paul, MN to Stanley and Catherine “Kay” (Schloesser) Slavik.
Chuck graduated from New Prague High School and soon after entered the US Army, where he trained as a military vehicle mechanic.  After being Honorably Discharged, he began working at Continental Machines in Savage, MN, where he worked as a hydraulic mechanic for nearly 40 years.
