Mary M. Bisek, age 87, of Belle Plaine, died peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, November 23, 2019.  Mary was born in Lake Mills, Iowa to Edward and Esther (Cation) Syndergaard.  She moved to New Prague with her family and graduated from New Prague High School as the senior class president and class valedictorian.  She married Clarence J. Bisek on February 14, 1953 at Ft.

Adeline A. Kohout, age 93, of New Prague died peacefully, with her family at her side on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Adeline was born on January 16, 1926 in New Prague to John C. and Mary (Weiers) Solheid.  She attended country school at Union Hill.  Adeline married the love of her life, William E.

Red Rauschke, age 73, of New Prague, died peacefully in the loving presence of his family on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his home.  Red was born on July 28, 1946 in Willmar, Minnesota to Leonard and Lorraine (Wondra) Rauschke.  He graduated from Montgomery High School and entered the US Army in 1969 and served in Vietnam.  He married the love of his life, Karen D.

Arnie L. Tupy, age 86, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Arnie was born on October 10, 1933 in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County to Wencel A. “Jim” and Mayme Rose (Turek) Tupy.  He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and graduated from New Prague High School.  After service in the US Army and serving in Korea, he married the love of his life, Jeanette D.

Horejsi, Joseph G. age 56 of Webster passed away November 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Joe was an avid dairy farmer and thoroughly enjoyed farming with his children and his father. He also worked as a milk hauler, a school bus driver, and mechanic. He was a member of the Webster township board, Rice county board, and Knights of Columbus. He was a hard-working man that was deeply passionate about helping anybody in need. He loved riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, and hanging out with family and friends in his shop on the farm.

Terrence J. “Terry” Schoenecker, age 55, of New Prague, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Le Sueur.  Terry was born on August 2, 1964 in New Prague to Erwin H. and Mary E.

Charles E. “Chuck” Kajer, age 60, of New Prague, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital New Prague.  Chuck was born on October 16, 1959 in St. Paul and was lovingly welcomed by his parents Ronald G. and Helen D. (Kes) Kajer.  He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School, graduated from New Prague High School, attained his B.A. from St. John’s University, and an associate degree from Winona State College.  He married the love of his life, Jennifer “Jenny” A. Settergren on June 16, 1984 at St.

Philomena (Phyllis) Maria Bilek Age 88, of Hugo. Phyllis passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on November 10, 2019. Born July 13, 1931 in Cedar Lake Township, Scott County, MN.
Preceded in death by husband, Alois V. Bilek; parents Guy & Mary Blaha; grandparents Barbara & Joseph Madera and Anna & Frank Blaha. 

Evelyn Emma Salaba, age 94, of Lonsdale, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church in Lonsdale with Father Michael Miller officiating. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale following the service.

Kenneth M. Skok, age 76, of Kenyon, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Allina Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.  Ken was born on July 22, 1943 in New Prague to Albert J. and Florence M. (Dahlberg) Skok.  He attended New Prague High School and then entered a lifetime of seeing a need and filling it through a lifetime of entrepreneurial endeavors.  He owned and operated many businesses including a truck and trailer rental business in West St.

Susan Evelyn Sticha, age 99, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Susan was born on October 30, 1920 in New Market to Frank X. and Elizabeth (Thomas) Koppen.  Raised in the New Market area, she attended St. Nicholas Catholic School.  She married Edward R. Sticha on November 6, 1939 and she joined him on the farm, where they raised their family.  She loved her chickens and ducks, liked to cook, garden, sew, play cards, do crafts, puzzles, and sing. 

JoAnn Lorraine (Boer) Olson was born on March 24, 1947 in Chester, SD to parents William and Lorraine Boer.  She attended school on the campus of General Beadle State Teachers College and finished high school at Madison Central.  JoAnn attended one year of college before seeking employment at John Morrell & Co.

Genevieve Terese Lepeska Rockwood died October 12 in Plano, TX. She was born February 22, 1928, in Lonsdale, MN, to Ludmilla (Schoenbauer) and John Lepeska. Genevieve “Gen” and her two brothers were raised by their maternal grandparents (Wenceslaus and Rose Schoenbauer) in New Prague, MN, following the death of their mother in 1934.

Marie “Bobbie” Hruska, 91, of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, at Central Health Care in Le Center.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father George Grafsky officiating. Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society.

Joyce Jeanette Pease Bender, age 88, passed away at Mala Strana Rehabilitation and Care Center in New Prague, MN on October 27, 2019, surrounded by her family. She struggled with dementia for over 14 years. Joyce was born in Madison, WI on August 25, 1931 to Lora Ray Pease and Louise Ellen (Bolhalter). Growing up in Monticello, WI, Joyce developed her lifelong love of music. She sang her first solo at church on Christmas Eve when she was five. Soon after, she began playing the piano and saxophone.  In 1948 Joyce graduated at age 16 from Monticello High School as Valedictorian of her class.

Lucille R. Nelson, age 96, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.  Lucille was born on September 13, 1923 in St. Thomas, MN to Frank and Gertrude A. (Benzick) Ginter.  She was raised in the St. Thomas/Lexington area, attended country school for a short time, then St. Wenceslaus Catholic School, and graduated with the class of 1941 from New Prague High School.  Lucille married Clyde C. Nelson on May 18, 1946 at St.
