Grizzly boys placed 3rd in Waseca Invitational
A 3rd place finish by the WEM/JWP boys cross country team was a very solid finish for a team competing against much bigger schools in the Waseca Invitational held Thursday, Oct. 7 at Lakeside Country Club.
The Grizzlies were the smallest school enrollment- wise among the eight teams entered.
Jordan won the meet with 41 points. Faribault placed second with 59 points. WEM/JWP was a close third with 69 points. The remaining teams included Tri City United (90), Waseca (105), NRHEG (145) and Maple River and United South Central had runners but not enough to field a complete team of five.
Grizzly sophomore Landon Dimler was the top finisher once again for the local team. He finished in fifth place in a time of 17:42. Those finishing ahead of him were Kaleb Sharp and Isaac Young of Jordan (16:51 & 16:52), Cole Stencel of Maple River (16:56), and Isaac Feldkamp of Waseca (17:10).
