Playoffs start next week

High school post season playoffs begin next week for WEM sports teams. The WEM cross country team will compete Thursday. Oct. 26 in Blue Earth in the Section 2A Championship Race. The WEM football team after upsetting undefeated Sibley East Wednesday night, received the No. 2 seed in Section 2AA and will host Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. The WEM volleyball team received the No. 1 seed in the Section 2A South Sub-Section. They will host either Mountain Lake Area or Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman Thursday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.
