Bakken announces retirement as WEM football coach

After 40 years, 31 at Waterville-Elysian and Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, Jon Bakken has decided to retire as head football coach. Bakken has accumulated 279 career wins, 271 as a Buccaneer coach. His win total is 12th on the all-time Minnesota high school coaching list. He is 279-89 all-time as a varsity head coach.
